The Savage Warriors waltzed into their game Friday with three straight wins but they left with four. They snuck past Culbertson with a 42-36 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Savage also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Despite the loss, Culbertson still got an impressive performance from Bridger Salvevold, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds. The game was Salvevold's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Dawson Bergum, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Savage's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Culbertson, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.
Savage will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Culbertson at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Culbertson and Bainville will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
