The Perrysburg Yellow Jackets will square off against the Anthony Wayne Generals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Perrysburg is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Clay: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Yellow Jackets blew the Eagles out of the water with a 48-7 final score. The victory was familiar territory for the Yellow Jackets, who have now won six contests in a row.

Those four passing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Ethan Devries was another key player, picking up 88 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Perrysburg was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 286 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Clay only rushed for 119.
Perrysburg's defense stepped up as well, laying out Landon Echelberry three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Thad Merriman, Michael Duvall, and Giano Walkosky, who each picked up one sack apiece.
Meanwhile, Anthony Wayne never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past Northview 21-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Generals' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 135th, while the Wildcats are ranked 477th).
Anthony Wayne's win came from a few key players Perrysburg will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Cameron Miller, who picked up 42 receiving yards and two scores. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making six total tackles and defending one pass. Anthony Wayne also got a significant boost from Jaythan Voltz, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 94 yards.
Anthony Wayne didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Max Grabarczyk and Eli Donawa. Anthony Wayne received some extra help from Arycin Miller, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Anthony Wayne's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-3. As for Perrysburg, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Perrysburg has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 217.4 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Anthony Wayne struggles in that department as they've been averaging 154.4 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Perrysburg ended up a good deal behind Anthony Wayne in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, losing 31-14. Thankfully for the Yellow Jackets, Grant Kinnee (who rushed for 121 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 151 yards and three TDs on only ten passes) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
