Baseball Recap: High Point Has No Trouble Against Wise

High Point made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Wise, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Eagles blew past the Pumas 13-1 on Thursday. Considering the Eagles have won four contests by more than 11 runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Yojancel Soto was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those doubles were his first of the season. Bryan Perez was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

High Point's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Wise, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-9.

High Point has already played their next game (against Bladensburg), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Wise, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Parkdale at 4:30 p.m.
