The Mountain View Christian Academy Conquerors will head out on the road to square off against the Evergreen Christian Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Mountain View Christian Academy is looking to tack on another W to their seven-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
Last Friday, Mountain View Christian Academy strolled past the Colonels with points to spare, taking the game 40-23.
Mountain View Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Eryn Demko, who scored 24 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Demko has scored at least a third of Mountain View Christian Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayde Walker, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Evergreen Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight defeat. Their tough 50-26 defeat to Christ Chapel Academy might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Evergreen Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 366th, while the are ranked 163rd).
Mountain View Christian Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Evergreen Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.
Mountain View Christian Academy couldn't quite finish off the Eagles in their previous meeting back in January and fell 37-35. Can Mountain View Christian Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
