For the second straight game, Herscher will face off against Streator. Herscher will head out on the road to square off against Streator at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Herscher is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10 runs per game this season.

Herscher is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 21 runs on Friday, they were much more limited against Streator on Monday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 10-2. The match marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

For Streator's part, Makenna Ondrey made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. Ondrey has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-5. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Mya Zavada, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in May of 2024. Joyce Walkling also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Streator kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive contests.

Streator's record is now 2-5. As for Herscher, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.

Streator's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Herscher has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .513.
