The Henninger Black Knights lost against the Rome Free Academy Black Knights last Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Henninger was the victim of a tough 61-41 defeat at the hands of Rome Free Academy. Henninger has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Rome Free Academy was led to victory by Nijae Matthews and Haylee Bostwick. Matthews dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds, while Bostwick dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. The matchup was Bostwick's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Amiyah Ferebee, who scored ten points.
Henninger now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Rome Free Academy, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-4.
Henninger will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cicero-North Syracuse at 6:30 p.m. on February 9th. As for Rome Free Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Whitesboro at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
