Baseball Recap: Freedom Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Freedom entered their tilt with Northampton on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over the Konkrete Kids. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won eight matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Freedom got a great performance from Michael Horvath as he pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. What's more, Horvath posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April.

At the plate, Ryan Kullman was incredible, going 1-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Santiago Rodriguez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and two doubles.

Freedom hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive games.

Freedom's record now sits at 14-4. As for Northampton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Freedom will welcome Southern Lehigh at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northampton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bethlehem Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
