Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lincoln). They put the hurt on the East Fairmont Bees with a sharp 29-0 win on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Bees: they've now won six in a row.
Adriana Elder made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Riley Pearlman was incredible, firing off three home runs, nine RBI, and four runs while going 3-for-5. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Addie Moore also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Lincoln lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Fairmont didn't launched any home runs.
Lincoln pushed their record up to 11-7 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for East Fairmont, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.
