On Monday, University Christian had to suffer through a rough 47-19 loss at the hands of Uwharrie Charter. University Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Uwharrie Charter found their leader in underclassman Nevaeh Staples, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds. Lainey Thomas was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 6 steals.
University Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Uwharrie Charter, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
University Christian will head out on the road to face off against Caldwell Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Uwharrie Charter, they will be playing at home against Mountain Island Charter at 11:00 p.m. on November 28th. Hopefully Mountain Island Charter focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five on Friday.
