After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Mary, the Grand Traverse Academy Mustangs were happy to have found some success on Monday. They blew past Walkerville 52-17 at home. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 30-7.
Megan Pavwoski had an outrageously good game as she scored 20 points along with five rebounds and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Paige Bell was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five steals.
Grand Traverse Academy's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-7. As for Walkerville, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grand Traverse Academy will take on Ellsworth at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Walkerville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Baldwin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
