Reeths-Puffer moved up to 203 from 245 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Ottawa-Kent - Black. The Rockets were able to make the jump by beating Union 55-8.
Mona Shores suffered a letdown when it was bounced from the state Top 25 this week after losing to Zeeland East. The Sailors had been ranked 24th, but fell to 45.
Mona Shores' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Sailors feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Tyree Jackson has thrown for 1392 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, while Asantay Brown has 26 catches for 632 yards. Darnell Longmire leads the league in rushing with 595 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between the Chix and Muskegon. Zeeland East enters the contest ranked eighth in the state, while the Big Reds ranks first.
Derek Pennington's team extended the longest winning streak in Ottawa-Kent - Black this week by beating Mona Shores, 55-41. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.
