Softball Recap: Berean Christian Picks Up Eighth Consecutive Win

Berean Christian had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over the Mt. Diablo Red Devils. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won nine contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Isabella Tafoya was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Alissa Jones was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Berean Christian's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Mt. Diablo, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season.

Berean Christian will head out to take on Miramonte at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mt. Diablo, they will be playing at home against Las Lomas at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Red Devils will need to watch out since the Knights have now posted at least ten runs in their last five matches.
