Merit Preparatory Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mary Moody, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds. Those eight rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayla Coltharp, who scored nine points.
Pinnacle was led to victory by Heather Kerr and Jostyn McLean. Kerr dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds, while McLean dropped a double-double on 20 points and 19 rebounds. The game was McLean's fifth in a row with at least ten points.
Merit Preparatory Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 1-8-1 record this season. As for Pinnacle, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Merit Preparatory Academy is on the road again on Saturday and play against Wayne at 7:30 p.m. on December 16th. Wayne is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 50 points per game. Pinnacle will be home for the holidays to greet Tintic at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
