Council Rock North has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Neshaminy Skins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
Last Tuesday, Council Rock North lost to Council Rock South at home by a decisive 56-42 margin. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Council Rock North has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Neshaminy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came out on top against Harry S. Truman by a score of 53-40. Given Neshaminy's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 265th, while Harry S. Truman is ranked 545th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Neshaminy's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Max Currie, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and three steals, and Nate Townsend, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds. Townsend set a new season high mark in steals with two. Guy Horton was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with three blocks.
Council Rock North now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Neshaminy, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Council Rock North skirted past Neshaminy 44-42 in their previous matchup back in February. Does Council Rock North have another victory up their sleeve, or will Neshaminy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
