With a playoff game on the line, North Catholic rose to the challenge  on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Indiana Little Indians  and snuck past  7-5. The  win was familiar territory for North Catholic who now have five in a row.
  Tommy Schafale spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered five earned runs on ten hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in nine consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Josef Safar and  Tommy Koroly did most of the damage at the plate:  Safar  went 2-for-2 with two  runs, a  triple,  and a  double, while  Koroly  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Ryan Shantz, who  scored a  run while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 North Catholic has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won eight of their last nine matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record  this season. As for Indiana, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-9.
 As of now, neither North Catholic nor Indiana have any future games scheduled.
