Desert Vista had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They breezed by the Corona del Sol Aztecs to the tune of 76-38 on Friday. The Thunder have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 25 points or more this season.

Desert Vista's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 11-9. As for Corona del Sol, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-18.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Desert Vista will take on Sunnyslope at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Desert Vista knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Sunnyslope likes a good challenge. Corona del Sol has already played their next game (against Brophy College Prep), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
