It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the West Texas Comanches can now relate to. They had to suffer through a rough 58-0 loss at the hands of New Deal. West Texas just can't catch a break and has now endured four losses in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead New Deal to victory, but perhaps none more so than Pierre Vasquez, who rushed for 167 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries. Vasquez was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 63 yards. Aiden Ysaguirre made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
West Texas has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for New Deal, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3.
West Texas does not have any more games scheduled as of now. New Deal will take on Cisco at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Cisco is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
