The KIPP Denver Collegiate White Tigers were the 45-44 winner over the Arrupe Jesuit Generals when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. KIPP Denver Collegiate fell 47-36 to Arrupe Jesuit on Tuesday. KIPP Denver Collegiate has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Ari Cowans was his usual excellent self, scoring 31 points along with four steals for Arrupe Jesuit. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cowans has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Oscar Padilla, who scored two points along with 11 rebounds and seven steals.
KIPP Denver Collegiate now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Arrupe Jesuit, their victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. KIPP Denver Collegiate will take on Fort Lupton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fort Lupton will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak. As for Arrupe Jesuit, they will head out on the road to face off against Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Jefferson has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 4.
