The White County Warriors waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They took down Cumberland County 49-31. That result was just more of the same for these two, as White County also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Among those leading the charge was Jackson Young, who scored 16 points along with two blocks. That's the first time this season that he posted two or more blocks. Another player making a difference was Lucas Dickerson, who scored six points.
White County has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-7 record this season. As for Cumberland County, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. White County will stay at home for another game and welcome Upperman at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th. Cumberland County will take on Stone Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stone Memorial presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Cumberland County in Tennessee (Stone Memorial is ranked 72nd, while Cumberland County is ranked 328th).
