Baseball Recap: Bolles Has No Trouble Against St. Joseph Academy

Bolles owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the St. Joseph Academy Flashes as they made off with an 8-0 victory. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Flashes recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Levi Pietschker looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Rylan Baker, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Ford McCarthy, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one double, and one RBI.

Bolles' victory bumped their record up to 16-7. As for St. Joseph Academy, their loss ended a nine-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-6-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bolles will venture away from home to square off against Bishop Snyder at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Cardinals will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight. As for St. Joseph Academy, they will head out to challenge Oakleaf at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Flashes are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
