Lakeview faced Malcolm in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Vikings came out on top against the Clippers by a score of 2-0. The win was familiar territory for the Vikings, who have now won five matchups in a row.

While Lakeview won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-20.

Calli Helms paced Lakeview's offense, picking up seven kills. Helms got some help from Grace Dawson and her 19 assists. Rallie Boyer and Kenzie Greisen kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Lakeview's victory bumped their record up to 19-3. As for Malcolm, with the defeat, they broke their four-match winning streak and moved their record to 14-6.

Lakeview wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Pierce on the 4th. As for Malcolm, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Norfolk Catholic on the 4th.
