West Springfield took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the West Potomac Wolverines as the West Springfield Spartans made off with an 8-2 win. The victory continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Wolverines: they've now won four in a row.
Andrea Yagui spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up 14 Ks.
