Frontier (Hamburg, N.Y.) captured the lead on a touchdown run by
Cameron Coon with 1:00 left in the fourth quarter to defeat
Lancaster (N.Y.) 22-16 on Saturday.
The Redskins pulled ahead on a field goal, and subsequently went into halftime leading 9-7. The Falcons took the lead for good with a Coon touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
Despite scoring zero points in the third, Frontier still trailed by 2 points going into the fourth quarter. But 15 points in the fourth helped FHS pull out the victory.
Benjamin Koch stood out for the Hamburg school in the win. He threw one touchdown and ran for one touchdown.
The Falcons came in allowing an average of 24.6 points per game this season.
The victory is a complete turnaround from last season's game between these two teams, which Lancaster took, 34-7.
In a non-conference game next week Frontier (4-2) takes on Hamburg, and Lancaster (1-5) will go up against Depew also in a non-conference game.
