The Adena Warriors had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They snuck past Valley with a 56-51 win. For Adena, this counts as revenge for the 89-39 defeat Valley walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Adena's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Joedy Ater, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The game was Ater's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cayden Lee, who scored 14 points.
Adena now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
Adena will be playing at home against Paint Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Minford at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Minford knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully Valley likes a good challenge.
