Parkdale is 1-9 against Flowers since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Parkdale Panthers take on the Flowers Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Parkdale is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They fell to Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North 90-85. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (61), the Panthers still had to take the loss.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Isaiah Richards, who went 8 of 20 en route to 20 points. Those 20 points gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alusine Mansaray, who went 8 of 12 on his way to 21 points and eight rebounds.
Even though they lost, Parkdale was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Flowers came tearing into two weeks ago's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 61-50 victory over the Panthers. Given the Jaguars' advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 35th, while the Panthers are ranked 132nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Parkdale better keep an eye on Tyrell Bowles. He was instrumental in Flowers' win, putting up 31 points. The game was Bowles' 13th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chuka Anagbogu, who posted 12 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Parkdale and nudges their season record down to 2-5. As for Flowers, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as both are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Parkdale hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 56.6 points per game. However, it's not like Flowers struggles in that department as they've been averaging 67.4 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
Parkdale lost to Flowers at home by a decisive 78-63 margin when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Parkdale avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
