Volleyball Recap: Clear Falls' Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Clear Falls had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Santa Fe Indians on Saturday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 last Tuesday.

Clear Falls found their leader in sophomore Riley Martinsen, who had six aces and five digs. Those six aces set a new season-high mark for Martinsen.

Clear Falls was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That's the most aces they've posted in their last seven games.

Clear Falls now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Santa Fe, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Clear Falls didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Fort Bend Elkins on the 23rd. As for Santa Fe, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Clear Creek at 6:00 p.m. on September 2.
