The Atlanta Huskies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 44-24 loss at the hands of Au Gres-Sims. Atlanta was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-8.
Au Gres-Sims found their leader in underclassman Sophie Fox, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Fox has scored at least a third of Au Gres-Sims' points. Analeis Ming was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six assists and six steals.
Atlanta's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Au Gres-Sims, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Atlanta will face off against Heston Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Au Gres-Sims, they will head out on the road to take on Whittemore-Prescott at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Whittemore-Prescott comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 19 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
