Bryan Mares made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Colten Figueroa, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Ethan Trahan was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
