Bedford entered their tilt with Essex on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victors by a 25-1 margin over the Trojans. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won 13 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Bedford's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.8 runs over those games. As for Essex, they are on a 25-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Bedford has already played their next matchup, a 6-5 win against Creston on the 21st. As for Essex, they will challenge East Mills at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. East Mills has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.73 runs per game on average), something Essex will no doubt try to take advantage of.
