Pineville has gone a perfect 3-0 against Plainview recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Pineville Rebels will head out to face off against the Plainview Hornets at 7:00 p.m.

Last Friday, Pineville had to suffer through a 87-47 loss at the hands of West Monroe. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Pineville has suffered against West Monroe since February 7, 2020.

Meanwhile, Plainview came tearing into Thursday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 79-59 win. Given the Hornets' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while the Eagles are ranked 292nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Plainview's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 25-5. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.0 points over those games. As for Pineville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-21 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Pineville against Plainview when the teams last played back in November of 2023, as the squad secured an 85-31 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pineville since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
