The Jacobs Golden Eagles's four-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They strolled past Prairie Ridge with points to spare, taking the game 64-45. The victory was just what Jacobs needed coming off of a 67-31 loss in their prior contest.
Jacobs was led to victory by Treval Howard and Ben Jurzak. Howard scored 19 points, while Jurzak scored 20 points along with three steals. Nolan Roper was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with three steals and two blocks.
Jacobs' victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-13. As for Prairie Ridge, they dropped their record down to 4-17 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.
Jacobs will head out on the road to challenge Huntley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Prairie Ridge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Crystal Lake Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Crystal Lake Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Saturday.
