Lee's loss came despite strong showings from Cassidy Hammonds and Kinley Huff. Hammonds scored 23 points along with five assists, while Huff scored 22 points along with two steals and two blocks. That was a full 35.5% of Lee's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Taylor Bishop was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Lee has not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Union, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-11.
