The Point Loma Pointers won against the Crawford Colts last Friday with 73 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Point Loma took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 73-44 win over Crawford. The victory was nothing new for Point Loma as they're now sitting on six straight.
Point Loma's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Grant Stewart, who went 7 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 25 points and 3 assists. Stewart hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Freeman, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds.
Point Loma has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Crawford, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Point Loma will face off against Canyon Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Canyon Hills is on a three-game streak of home wins, Point Loma a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Crawford, they will head out on the road to take on Sweetwater at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
