The Broomfield Eagles will venture away from home to face off against the Fairview Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Broomfield's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight contests.
If Broomfield beats Fairview with 76 points on Friday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. Broomfield came out on top against Mead by a score of 76-68 on Tuesday.

Broomfield got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Joey Cook out in front who went 6-for-7 en route to 14 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Cook is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 47% in the last eight games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jack Wadlington, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine assists.
Broomfield was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Fairview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 67-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Frederick.
Broomfield will have to keep a close watch on Spencer Brown and Toray Davis, a pair of players who had a big impact on Fairview's prior game. Brown went 10-for-19 on his way to 29 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Davis went 8-for-14 to rack up 22 points. The dominant performance gave Davis a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Trevor Ochs, who posted three points.
Broomfield has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.1 points over those games. As for Fairview, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-6.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Broomfield has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 31.3 boards per game. However, it's not like Fairview struggles in that department as they've been averaging 21.8 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Broomfield strolled past Fairview in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a score of 78-63. Does Broomfield have another victory up their sleeve, or will Fairview turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
