Olympian and Eastlake are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2018, but not for long. The Olympian Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Eastlake Titans at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Olympian will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.
Even though University City scored an imposing 58 points last Saturday, Olympian still came out on top. Olympian walked away with a 66-58 victory over University City. Winning is a bit easier when your three-point shooting is a whole 20% better than the opposition, as Olympian's was.
Olympian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sammell Humphries, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Walker, who scored 19 points.
Meanwhile, Eastlake beat Coronado 57-44 on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Eastlake.
Olympian's win bumped their record up to 20-0. As for Eastlake, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season.
Olympian came up short against Eastlake in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 55-46. Can Olympian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
