The Springville Red Devils lost against the Alta Hawks back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Springville's tough 74-50 loss to Alta might stick with them for a while. Springville was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-22.
Alta's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ace Reiser, who scored 14 points along with 8 assists and 6 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jaxon Johnson, who scored 18 points along with 8 rebounds.
Springville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Alta, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Springville will look to defend their home court on Friday against Northridge at 7:00 p.m. Northridge has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 201 points over their last three contests. As for Alta, they will head out on the road to face off against Corner Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Corner Canyon will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Utah Rankings (they are ranked 67th, while Alta is ranked first).
