Estrella Foothills and Paradise Honors are an even 3-3 against one another since April of 2021, but likely not for long. The Wolves will take on the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Estrella Foothills' favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last four matches.
On Wednesday, Estrella Foothills made easy work of Cactus and carried off a 14-2 win. The victory continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Cobras: they've now won six in a row.
Jayson Ross made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Ross was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI. Estrella Foothills is undefeated when Ross posts two or more runs, but 9-10 otherwise.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Landon Sloan, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. He has become a key player for Estrella Foothills: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three RBI, but 9-10 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Vargas, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Estrella Foothills always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .677. They are a perfect 10-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Paradise Honors won against Greenway on Monday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Panthers came out on top against the Demons by a score of 9-4. The win was nothing new for the Panthers as they're now sitting on five straight.
Jack Moore made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out nine batters over 6.1 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
In other batting news, Kade Ashton was excellent, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Kyle Jaco also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Estrella Foothills' victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-10. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Paradise Honors, their record now sits at 22-3.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Estrella Foothills hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .388. However, it's not like Paradise Honors struggles in that department as they've averaged .366. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Estrella Foothills beat Paradise Honors 9-4 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will the Wolves repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
