AAAA Region 7A recap November 5, 2013
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Gilmer, who defeated 88th ranked Cedartown, 38-35.
The Bobcats added to the longest winning streak in AAAA Region 7A this week by beating the Bulldogs, 38-35. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Shannon Brooks was a passing and rushing force as Pickens topped River Ridge.
Brooks was a force in the backfield as the Dragons bested the Knights.
Brooks was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 276 yards on 25 carries as Pickens lost to Wesley Tankersley's team. Teammate Tanner Brumby added to the ground attack by rushing for 80 yards.
The Bobcats scaled the state rankings by moving to 121 from 147 this week, the biggest jump in the league. Gilmer climbed the ranks as a result of beating Scott Hendrix's team 38-35.
