Summerville is 2-8 against the Mustangs since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Summerville Bears will head out on the road to take on the Argonaut Mustangs at 7:15 p.m. Summerville is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
On Friday, Summerville was the victim of a tough 68-43 loss at the hands of the Wildcats. While losing is never fun, Summerville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1010th, while the Wildcats are ranked 497th).
Meanwhile, Argonaut came into Friday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They really took it to Amador for the full four quarters, racking up a 78-37 win on the road. Argonaut pushed the score to 68-26 by the end of the third, a deficit the Buffaloes cut but never quite recovered from.
Summerville has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 15 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season. As for Argonaut, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-16.
Summerville skirted past the Mustangs 51-48 in their previous meeting back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Summerville since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
