The Eisenhower Eagles will square off against the San Jacinto Tigers at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Eisenhower is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Arroyo a 10-0 shutout. The Eagles not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 11th (when they won 12-2).
The result came thanks to Jenna Vallin's shutout, as she gave up just seven hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Eisenhower got a massive performance out of Milani Paige, who went 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Paige has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. Alondra Hernandez was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Eisenhower kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, San Jacinto made easy work of Santa Clara on Thursday and carried off a 7-0 win. Considering the Tigers have won eight matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Lucy Barreras was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Barreras was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.
Barreras wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Adriana Cruz, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Those two hits gave Cruz a new career-high. Another was Genesis Ruiz, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs.
San Jacinto pushed their record up to 11-12 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Eisenhower, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-6.
San Jacinto's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Eisenhower has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.5 hits per game. It's a different story for San Jacinto, though, as they've been averaging 8.7 hits. Given Eisenhower's sizable advantage in that area, the Tigers will need to find a way to close that gap.
