Omak has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the La Center Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, Omak humbled Deer Park with a 47-17 victory.
Meanwhile, La Center put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Elma 50-7 at home. Given La Center's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 53rd, while Elma is ranked 217th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
La Center's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Houston Coyle, who rushed for 84 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 156 yards and two touchdowns. Wyatt Eiesland got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Omak's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.0 points per game. As for La Center, their victory bumped their record up to 10-0.
