Baseball Recap: Sweet Springs Takes a Loss

Sweet Springs fell victim to Carrollton and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Trojans, falling 10-0. The Greyhounds' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Sweet Springs saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Drayton Hampton, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Hampton is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played.

Sweet Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 12-16. As for Carrollton, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-7.

Coming up, Sweet Springs is taking a road trip to square off against Lutheran at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Carrollton, they will face off against Lafayette County at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
