The Wellborn Panthers will venture away from home to  square off against the Pennington Tigers  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one:  both  posted some lofty  point totals in their previous games.
 While Panthers fans will have to keep waiting for their  team to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Thursday's  season opener. They took down Munford 32-13  on Thursday.
 Meanwhile, Pennington  took care of business in their home opener  on Friday (and then some). They blew past Susan Moore, posting  a  55-18 win at home.
 Pennington's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Connor Timmerman, who threw for 159 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 47 yards.  Jacob Duckett handled things on the ground, rushing for 94 yards and a  rushing touchdown.
 Another reason for the win was Pennington's imposing  defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks.  Jesse Amos was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up twohimself.
