On Monday, West Campus made easy work of Florin and carried off a 16-1 victory. Considering the Warriors have won six games by more than 11 runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Mallory Turk was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Turk was also solid in the batter's box, earning one run and two stolen bases. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, West Campus got a massive performance out of Moriah Williams, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and one triple. That's the most RBI Williams has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Quiroz, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, seven RBI, and two runs.
West Campus hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Johnson had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it five two weeks ago. They came out on top against West Campus by a score of 5-2.
Like West Campus, Johnson also got a great game from a two-way player: Angelene Gonzales. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Gonzales has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and one run.
In other batting news, Lily Munoz was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run. Sadie Kirkland was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs and one double.
Johnson's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for West Campus, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.
Wednesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. West Campus hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .431. However, it's not like Johnson struggles in that department as they've averaged .431. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
