The Farmington Phoenix will square off against the Davis Darts at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing isn't great for Farmington: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Davis has snatched up five consecutive wins on the road.
Farmington had been on a four-game streak of scoring at least ten runs, but West Jordan put an end to it on Wednesday. The Phoenix took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jaguars.

Farmington got a good showing from Lill Topham, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Topham has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Farmington saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kiley Gazafy, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Davis). They were the clear victors by an 18-2 margin over Weber on Tuesday. The Darts might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 matchups by six runs or more this season.
Serena Roth looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Chloe Peery was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Libby Miller, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.
Davis always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Weber only posted an OBP of .353.
Davis has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Farmington, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-9.
Both Farmington and Davis just can't seem to miss. The Phoenix have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11.9 hits per game. However, it's not like Davis struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.2 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Farmington suffered a grim 9-1 defeat to Davis in their previous meeting back in April. Will the Phoenix have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
