Baseball Recap: Academy for Classical Education Comes Up Short

Academy for Classical Education has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.25 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They lost 13-3 to the Bleckley County Royals. The Gryphons haven't had much luck with the Royals recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Academy for Classical Education's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 14-1 and their overall record down to 16-8. As for Bleckley County, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.

Bleckley County will challenge West Laurens at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Academy for Classical Education will be paying especially close attention to the Royals' game: after the Royals faces off against the Raiders, they'll take on Academy for Classical Education again at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
