Foothill waltzed into their match  on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Dougherty Valley Wildcats 11-3. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won five contests by eight  runs or more  so far this season.
 Myra Galzie spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and two unearned) runs on five hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in three consecutive appearances.
 At the plate, Foothill got a  massive  performance out of  Ellie Novitske, who  went 3-for-4 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI. That's the most  hits  Novitske has posted since back in March.  Sophia Burdick was another key player,  going 3-for-4 with four  RBI and one  triple.
 Foothill was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .455. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dougherty Valley only posted a  batting average of  .179.
Foothill pushed their record up to 11-4-1 with the  win, which was their fifth straight  at home. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Dougherty Valley,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 8-6.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Foothill is set to  challenge  their familiar foe San Ramon Valley  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (the Falcons 3.4, the Wolves 2.1) so any  runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Dougherty Valley will  face off against  rival Amador Valley  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
