Gulf is 1-9 against Hudson since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Buccaneers will face off against the Cobras at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Gulf's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. Everything went their way against Gibbs as they made off with a 16-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Buccaneers in their matchups with the Gladiators: they've now won five in a row.

The team relied heavily on Reid Wilson, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Gulf is undefeated when Wilson posts two or more runs, but 5-11 otherwise. Josh Wilcoxson also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.
Wilson wasn't the only one making solid contact: Gulf kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in February.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hudson). They were the clear victors by a 17-1 margin over Fivay on Friday. Considering the Cobras' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
Ryder Tysko and Owen Wilson made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Tysko struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Wilson tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances. At bat, Tysko went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double, while Wilson scored a run while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Hudson got a massive performance out of Aiden Pace, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Gillespie, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Gulf's record now sits at 9-11. As for Hudson, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-14.
Gulf suffered a grim 9-2 defeat to Hudson when the teams last played two weeks ago. Can the Buccaneers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
