The Huron Tigers had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came out on top against Edison by a score of 45-35. This was payback for Huron, who suffered a 46-42 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Despite the loss, Edison still got an impressive performance from Audrey Linder, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Cydnie Barnicle, who scored seven points.
Huron's win bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Edison, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Huron will face off against Port Clinton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Edison, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Paul at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Paul is on a six-game streak of home losses, Edison a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
