Football Recap: Carlsbad Piles Up the Points Against San Dieguito Academy

While Carlsbad put up plenty of points on Monday, the same can't be said for San Dieguito Academy. The Lancers breezed past the Mustangs to the tune of 33-0. The result was nothing new for the Lancers, who have now won five games by 24 points or more so far this season.

Carlsbad didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Teagan Thomas and Meg Hanson.

Carlsbad pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 29.0 points over those games. As for San Dieguito Academy, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-4.

Coming up, Carlsbad will welcome Westview at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for San Dieguito Academy, they have already played their next contest, a 25-18 defeat against Del Norte on the 16th.
